Seger Beach is mostly visited by surfers to catch some waves, but with its white sand and clear blue water it’s also a must see for anyone visiting the South of Lombok! It’s still a very popular spot to enjoy the sunset with a cold beer as well! In other words, don't miss it!

Tampa is a stunning bay about 20 minutes West of Kuta. Although this beach wasn't really visited until recently people started discovering it, it's gaining popularity very quickly. Locals there do their best to keep the area clean and they don't allow sellers to the beach either. So going there you can swim, enjoy food and drinks and relax without being disturbed. Tampa is a great spot for snorkeling as well, so bring your goggles!

Gerupuk bay is well known in the area and a real hotspot for surfers from all levels! The bay is located in Gerupuk village, and includes five surf spots. Since the waves are far from the shore, you will need to have a fishing boat take you out to the spot of your choice. They will await you there and take you back after your session. Air Guling is a beach to the West of Kuta village. The break is a fair paddle from shore, and is a strong right hander, which can become very hollow during a large swell. The warung will spoil you with refreshing drinks and tasty food!

Mawun beach is a secluded half-moon bay with crystal clear water and pristine sand. There’s one big tree where people congregate in the shade. Mawi is one of the places on the island of Lombok that is well liked by surfers both local and tourists. For people who just like to see the surfers at work, this is the perfect spot because the waves break close to the beach. It has an exposed reef break that has fairly consistent surf. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the best time of year for waves. The road to Mawi is not great, but totally worth the effort for seeing this beautiful beach!

Selong Belanak is a stunning bay a little to the West of Kuta that is mostly visited by people wanting to learn how to surf. This beach break has easy waves very close to the beach, which makes it a good location for beginner surfers to practice the paddle and the stand up. But aside from surfing, this white sandy beach with crystal blue water is also perfect for sunbathing, beach strolling, swimming and relaxing. In addition to all of this, the fishing village and the buffalo crossings give this bay its unique personality.

If you'd like to see a little bit more of the traditional Lombok culture, then these villages are a good way to go.
